A Better Way to Treat Your Own Pool Water
The standard pool advice followed by most of the industry, if they follow any advice, leaves the pool owner overworked and overspent.
The standard pool advice given on the internet and by extension AI chatbots will have you trying to keep your pool chemistry within a range instead of in a balance, and it is the mistake that cost you money and will have you replacing pool equipment, plaster, liners, etc more often than you would otherwise.
The best advice I have seen on the internet comes from Orenda Tech. Their material will show you how to keep your pool balanced and the measurement and chemicals you can use to make your swim experience better. Once you have really good pool water you won’t want to go back.
Below are some links to Orenda material that are great for the pool owner.
You will not hear this stuff in a pool store. You will probably know more than the person doing the water test at your local pool store in about an hour.
The thing that you put in your pool that costs the most and gets the worst rap is chlorine. You will learn how to use less chlorine and keep your water super safe and comfortable.

Why not use Multi-in-1 Pool Chemicals.
Cal-Hypo FTW - Multi-in-1 with the L
That 2-in-1, 3-in-1 or even 5-in-1 (!) pool cleaners are no good, self defeating, and will cost you way more in the long run and more than you realize in the short run.
There is a lot of obfuscation in the formulas, a lot of easy ways to confuse the pool owner.
The reason we want to avoid multiple chemicals packaged together is because some chemicals build up over time while others deplete themselves in their course of work (they get converted to something else).
This means that some of the chemicals in the 5-in-1 are going to keep going up and up and up.
This causes huge problems over time a part from the obvious waste in money.
Once a chemical in the mix builds up the other chemicals will become less effective so you will need more chemicals, which will make the mix even less effective.
We want a balanced pool and this is the opposite.
Eventually you will become exasperated at what it wrong with your pool water and why nothing is working.
And once you find out what is wrong you are looking at draining your pool and the mess, risk, and money (around $350-$400) that that entails.
See you aren’t saving money or time by going the mutli-in-1 route.
The truth is that the mutli-in-1 route is for above ground pool owners who are not concerned about $10,000 worth of equipment and $30,000 worth of plaster and concrete.
Does it make sense for someone with a $200 pool from Wal-Mart? Sure. Does it make sense for an in-ground pool over say $20,000? No it doesn’t.
And what about a pool and spa that cost $100,000? It would be foolish to take the multi-in-1 route.
Proactive pool water care is easy. But it is proactive thus few people will do it.
